“Show yourself or else I'll slice you with my dagger along these buildings

Unknown: Just kill me, but if you do, your family might be gone as well-
The unknown head's flew, didn't even make a single move
Unknown: Oho, you're quite stubborn, to think you would sliced me even though I have your family
“Clone manipulator, that's my ability. You won't even be able to scratch the true me with these large amount of Clones”
The unknown's voice echoed as the clone repeats his words)
But Sung Jinwoo didn't stand idle, in an instance the clones tore like paper. Upon slicing all the clones, he ran towards their home…
As he reached home, he felt nothing around the house… Not even a light could seen.
Sung Jinwoo's heart was uncontrollable, beating like a shackle… Upon opening the door, his tears suddenly fell, seeing nothing but a single Christmas tree.

Title: "Anime Wonderland: A Christmas Quest"
In the quaint town of Otakuville, where the streets were lined with manga shops and ramen stalls, a peculiar event was about to unfold. It was Christmas Eve, and an unexpected crisis threatened to ruin the festive spirit. The Great Manga Tree, the heart of Otakuville's Christmas decorations, had mysteriously withered, draining away the town's holiday magic.
Panicking, the citizens turned to their beloved anime characters for help. In a shimmering portal, characters from various anime, manga, and manhwa emerged, each bringing their unique powers and personalities to the rescue mission.
Leading the charge was Naruto, the ninja with the heart of gold. His optimism and determination inspired the eclectic group of saviors. Beside him stood Sailor Moon, wielding her cosmic powers, and Goku, ready to unleash his energy blasts. The trio set out to discover the cause of the Great Manga Tree's ailment.
Their quest took them through the snowy landscapes of Otakuville, where they encountered characters from One Piece, Attack on Titan, and My Hero Academia. Along the way, they faced challenges that tested their strength, intelligence, and teamwork. Luffy's stretchy arms helped retrieve a key hidden in a snowbank, while Mikasa's precision was crucial in solving a puzzle guarded by mischievous anime mascots.
As the group delved deeper into the mystery, they discovered a mischievous villain named Frostbite, who had stolen the Christmas magic to create an army of icy minions. Frostbite, a character from a lesser-known anime, sought revenge for being forgotten by the otaku community.
The battle against Frostbite unfolded in a spectacular clash of powers. Naruto's Rasengan clashed with Frostbite's ice beams, while Sailor Moon's Moon Tiara Action created dazzling distractions. Goku, with his Super Saiyan form, took on the icy minions, melting their frozen hearts with his warmth.
In the midst of the battle, the true spirit of Christmas emerged. Characters from different anime genres joined forces, breaking down the barriers of their fictional worlds. They realized that, just like the diverse otaku community, their unique qualities could create something extraordinary when combined.
With a final, united effort, the anime heroes defeated Frostbite and restored the stolen Christmas magic to the Great Manga Tree. Otakuville erupted in cheers as the characters bid farewell, their mission accomplished. Naruto, Sailor Moon, and Goku shared a heartfelt moment of gratitude, acknowledging the power of friendship and teamwork.
As the portal closed, leaving the anime characters to return to their respective worlds, Otakuville was aglow with the renewed magic of Christmas. The town's residents, inspired by the heroes who had saved their holiday, celebrated with a grand Christmas feast, sharing stories of the unforgettable adventure that brought their favorite characters to life.
And so, in Otakuville, Christmas became a time not only for festive decorations and gift-giving but also for the enduring magic of unity and the belief that, no matter where you come from, the spirit of Christmas can bring even the most unlikely allies together.

Kaede Manyuda
Title: "Family"
Christmas is an annual holiday celebrated on December 25th, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. It is marked by festive traditions, gift-giving, and the spirit of goodwill. It is also a special time for our family, where love and laughter blend with shared traditions, creating cherished moments of togetherness and warmth.
But not for me…
I’m Kaede Manyuda, a wealthy person who always get what I want. Expensive things like clothes, food, and other properties that are already owned by my family.
It’s Christmas day and all of the people especially the neighborhoods outside, are getting ready for the media noche. All of their relatives and family are together as they prepare for Christmas. I, Kaede Manyuda, prepared desserts that I made, like ube and leche flan.
“Sir Kaede, your phone is ringing. Should I answer the phone?” The butler asks for his permission to answer the call. His name is Denji, my butler. I don’t have maids either inside the mansion.
“Sure, Denji. Also, put the speaker on so that I can hear the call.” I wave my hand to him before Denji walks to the living room to get my phone. He put it on the table and looked at the phone. It was my mother who was calling me.
“Merry Christmas, Mother!” I greet her a Merry Christmas while beating the egg yolks in a mixing bowl.
"Mhm... Merry Christmas too, son. How are you today?”
“I’m fine, Mother. Where’s Father?”
“He’s busy as always. He’s in the meeting room for business negotiations.” I heard someone talking to my mother. I guess it’s about business too…
“Mother, are you both coming home to celebrate our Christmas?” I ask her for our special occasion to celebrate Christmas.
“Wait a minute, Kaede. I’ll need something to do in my office.” And then she hangs up… again.
I felt moody after hearing a response from my mother. We are always like this every Christmas. When will the time come when my family and I celebrate Christmas together?
After the call, I also received a text from my mother, and of course, they could not join me to celebrate Christmas with me. I also asked my father about this, but he always rejected it. Is work always more important than Christmas?
I already made the desserts and put them all in the refrigerator. After cleaning all the dishes I used earlier, I made a plan to walk outside while feeling depressed.
I was in the middle of the downtown area when I saw all the star lanterns that hung from every shop I saw, as well as a big Christmas tree with full decorations of ornaments around it. Whenever I look around here, I always see families who make memories and how they celebrate this occasion. I envy them.
While walking on the side street near a shop for puto bumbong and bibingka, two kids are looking at that shop. They are wearing tattered clothes and look like they haven’t taken a bath for a few months. A girl holding an old tin is looking inside something and then looks at the boy beside him.
They left that shop, so I followed them. Why? It attracts me to something I didn’t know. I looked at them and saw the two big guys, who looked like they were bullying the kids. I watched the whole scene, and in the end, the girl who had the old tin got stolen by the two big guys and then left the scene.
She cries while the boy sympathizes with her. He didn’t do anything to protect her. They looked sad while walking away, so I followed them again. Do I look like a stalker now?
I was under the bridge now while following the two kids. It looks like a whole squatter area to me. Other houses there are going to collapse. So these kids are living here…
The two kids are now inside the vacant lot. It doesn’t look like a home to me without a roof. I decided to go to that area and meet those kids. I made a call to Denji and gave an order to him. He was shocked at first, but he needed to follow my order.
I walk to the vacant lot at the same time, I already see the two kids playing dolls and the man hammering the wood. He must be the carpenter or something…
“Good evening, sir.” I greet that man while the two kids are still playing…
“Hello, young man. It looks like you are not from here in this area based on your clothes. Anyways, what can I do for you?”
“I’m here to talk about these two kids…”
They stop playing and look at me like “What?”.
"Haha, don’t worry. I’m here because..."
*BEEP* *BEEP*
It looks like Denji is here. He walks toward me and order him to do something about the things I bought here.
Denji opens the door of the van and the back with tons of gifts that I ordered earlier at the call, thanks to him, my butler. All the kids, teenagers, and other local people who live around here in the squatter area are coming here.
I called the two kids earlier. The girl who held the old tin earlier is named Anya Forger, while the boy with Anya is named Johan Liebert. I told them to help me give all the gifts inside the van to the people in there.
The man who talked to me earlier walks to me and says “Thank you” to me. His name is Kurotsuchi Mayuri. His relationship with these two kids is that he adopted both of them. Together, we celebrate here for Christmas.
Denji and I also distributed the food after receiving their gifts, and by looking at their smiles, they were satisfied about it. So this is what they call a good deed…
“Mister, why are you crying?” Anya was pulling my shirt below. I guess this feeling is what I’m missing for…

Title: “A Journey to Remember”
As the year was slowly coming to an end Frieren suddenly remembered a journey she had before with the hero’s party.
“Fern, Stark and Sein, write down your Christmas wish list. I’ll send them to Santa Claus.” Frieren said in a slightly delighted tone.
“Who’s Santa Claus?” Both Fern and Stark uttered the question.
“An old man wearing red clothes and rides a flying sleigh with reindeers who gives good children gifts” said Sein while smoking.
“Well, it was 82 years ago.”
"You...met Santa Claus?" Sein uttered in disbelief.
“Yeah. It was exactly 82 years ago...” Frieren said while now starting to recall their journey from 82 years ago.
While the group was out having an after-battle celebration meal. Himmel started a conversation with Frieren.
“Frieren, what did you ask Santa Claus for Christmas?” Himmel asked out of curiosity.
“Santa Claus? Who is that?” Frieren asked in a disinteresting tone.
And with a surprised face Himmel let out a small laugh. “An old man wearing red clothes and rides a flying sleigh with reindeers who gives good children gifts” Himmel said.
“I see, I understand. He’s a demon. Let’s hunt him down.” Frieren said with a serious tone.
“Eh? No, no, he’s not a demon.” Himmel said in disbelief.
“But he can fly, only demons have the ability to fly.” Frieren said.
Himmel let out a sigh as Frieren was now thinking of Santa Claus as a demon. Then suddenly Heiter joined their conversation and explained who Santa Claus really is to Frieren. After some time Frieren finally understood the concept of the so-called Santa Claus.
“So, in other words…Heiter won’t be getting any presents this year and the following year too.” Frieren said with an undisturbed face.
“That’s cruel.” Heiter said.
A few moments later while the group was preparing to rest for the day, a light suddenly lid up in the sky. Thinking that it might be a sudden attack from the demons, the group got ready to battle. When they got there it wasn’t an army of demons waiting for them but a sleigh that crashed.
After searching the surroundings Frieren found an unconscious old man dressed in red clothes. Thinking that this must be the Santa Claus man they’ve been talking about she called the attention of the other members. Using his healing magic Heiter healed the wounds Santa Claus had obtained from the crash.
The next morning, Santa Claus woke up. The group then asked what happened to him and to their surprise he was apparently surveilling the town to prepare for the upcoming gift distribution but unfortunately, he was attacked by the demons as he was about to enter the Mystic tree. Unfortunately, not only did they attack him, but they also poisoned the Mystic tree in which was a vessel for the secret portal that connects to his base, not only that but the poison could also spread to one tree to another until he can no longer go back making Christmas for every child in the world less brightly.
Hearing the situation of Santa Claus, the Hero Himmel Offered to help him save the Mystic Tree. As the tree can be easily healed by the power of the Priest it wasn’t a problem, but it takes time, the demons might come back to do it again and cause chaos in the nearby town as well. For this, Himmel and Frieren set out to hunt down the demons that caused this catastrophe while Heiter begins healing the tree and having Eisen protect him from unwanted visitors. Using detection spell, Frieren easily pointed out the location of the demons from the attack last night. Having to face the Hero Himmel and the Mage Frieren, the demons didn’t stand a chance of surviving the battle and went back victoriously. Just as they had just gone back Heiter also healed the Mystic tree back to how it was before and so Santa Claus can now go back.
“What brave and Good children you are and for that take this paper, write down what you want, and you shall have it on Christmas.” Santa Claus said happily.
“I’m over a thousand years, I’m not a kid.” Frieren said.
Santa Claus smiled and uttered “Everyone is a kid in my eyes.”
Shaken slightly by this statement, Frieren took the paper and went with the others to talk.
“I’ll ask Santa Claus to give me a statue with my handsome face and put it at the middle of the town.” Himmel said.
“I’ll ask for a beer!” Heiter said excitedly.
“Corrupt Priest” Frieren said coldly.
“What about you Eisen?” Heiter asked.
“An Axe.” Eisen replies.
“Frieren, what did you write down?” Himmel asked curiously.
“A spell book” Frieren said.
They finished talking and finally gave the strips of paper to Santa Claus. And with that he went through the portal. A few days later the gifts suddenly appeared beside them, they were all delighted. They then noticed that Himmel’s gift was nowhere to be found.
“Well, you did ask for it to be in the middle of the town, let’s check it out.” Heiter said.
As the group went to see the statue, they were shocked to see a group statue of them as a party, not just Himmel. As they saw the statues, it suddenly snowed gently. The snowflake’s beauty was truly witnessed that day.
As a snowflake dropped on Frieren’s palm she could only say how beautiful it was. Then Himmel suddenly said “Well, aside from the statues I did ask for an extra one. It’s a good thing you guys liked it.” Himmel said letting out a smile.
(Back to the present)
“So, it happened like that huh.” Frieren muttered to herself with a smile on her face. And with that, Fern, Stark and Sein finished writing and gave it to Frieren. Finally, she send it out to Santa with a present for him and a note that said “Merry Christmas.”

Title: “Saving Christmas”
Rin was feeling a bit stressed because he and his friends had still not gotten started on buying or making their gifts for their loved ones. Rin felt the pressure mounting as the holidays approached, and he was determined to get everything done before Christmas Eve.
The night before Christmas, Rin and his friends, Nezuko, Tanjiro, Chigiri and Meguru, got together for a night of fun and celebrations. It was a festive gathering, full of laughter and good food. But things took a turn when a storm blew in, bringing with it a fierce wind, heavy rain and dark clouds. "This is just our luck," Meguru grumbled, staring out the window at the dark clouds brewing outside. "A storm on Christmas Eve, of all things. I should have known."
"Want to play cards? We don't need to be bored." Tanjiro offered, getting up from the couch. "Sounds good to me!" Chigiri replied, grabbing a deck of cards from a nearby shelf. With that, they started to set up a game for everyone to play and enjoy.
As they were playing a game of cards, the power went out, leaving them sitting in the dark. But Nezuko, being the resourceful one, immediately came up with a plan. She gathered everyone around the Christmas tree, and told everyone to close their eyes while she worked on a surprise. "Don't peek ok?" Nezuko said.
When they opened their eyes, they were amazed to see that Nezuko had decorated the tree with Christmas lights, all powered by batteries. "Fufufufu what do ya all think?" Nezuko proudly said. "Wow! As expected of my sister!" Tanjiro replied and patted Nezuko's head. Rin teased Nezuko by saying, "Oh, I didn't know you were tall enough to reach the top of the Christmas tree." Nezuko felt annoyed and bit Rin's arm in response, causing him to yelp. The rest of the group laughed at Rin and Nezuko felt satisfied with teaching him a lesson.
The mood was immediately lifted, and everyone began singing Christmas carols as they continued playing games.
Just then, they heard something unusual outside. “It’s Santa!” Rin said as they looked out the window. To their surprise, they saw a bunch of elves flying by in a sleigh. The elves had dropped a present by mistake, and it had landed on the roof of the house. "Seriously? Are these elves blind? " Meguru said in an annoyed tone.
As they looked closer, they noticed that the present was actually a big bag of candy and biscuits. They decided to go outside and investigate, when they heard a loud noise from behind them. They turned around to see Santa himself, flying by on his sleigh. Santa dropped a rope ladder, telling them to hold on tight as he lifted them up to the sleigh.
"Santa! I can't believe it's really Santa!" Chigiri said in excitement. "Ho Ho Ho! I need your help young lads!" Santa said. "Anything Santa! Just tell the word!" Rin said. "I need to deliver this present before Christmas, but my reindeers are missing!" Santa said in agony. "Oh no, don't worry Santa we will help you deliver all of the presents and find your reindeers!" Tanjiro said. "Ho Ho Ho! That's wonderful! Thank you" Santa said.
"Wait, if your reindeers are missing then how did you make your sleigh fly?" Meguru asked. "Well do you know what's pixie dust is? I sprinkled lots of pixie dust on my sleigh to make it fly!" Santa answered. "Hmm, I see that makes sense." Meguru said. "Then Shall we go and deliver the presents?" "Yes! Let's go!" Chigiri and the others shout.
Together with Santa and his elves, Rin and his friends set off on a magical adventure to save Christmas. They delivered presents to all the good boys and girls, and even helped Santa locate and bring back his lost reindeers.
Together, they saved Christmas, and the night ended with a beautiful fireworks display, "Ho Ho Ho! Thank you for helping me to deliver all of the presents and find my missing reindeers!" Santa said, "No problem Santa! We have lots of fun too!" Rin said. "Oh before I forgot this is a bonus gift for all of you." Santa said and snapped his fingers, 5 gifts popped and landed on the 5 of them.
"Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!" Santa and his elves waved goodbye.
Rin and his friends were exhausted but filled with joy, and returned home feeling as though they had just lived through a Christmas miracle.

Title: "The gift of love, My star"
Christmas Eve has come up starting on December one. It's now December 18 that I'm still looking for my star for this Christmas. A day with the Yeinjiuken squad, "Tanji, what are you looking at?" Said by chigiri confusedly looking at me staring at the window. "Ah nothing, "I'm just thinking about something", Tanjiro replied. The snow was getting a little heavier, Chigiri turned up the fireplace to warm up a little bit. "He's probably thinking about when he will find the perfect star for this Christmas". Meguru slightly said while walking in the living room. "Hakdog ka pre." Tanjiro said back.
Tanjiro was still thinking deeply and realized someone named Light Yagami confessed to him a while back. In Tanjiro's thoughts "Hmm.. should I give light a chance?" Tanjiro deeply thinks about his decision. "I mean..." Tanjiro mumbles. "Guys! I made some mango floats" Nezuko said in breaking the silence. Everyone went into the dinning room to grab some of the mango floats that Nezuko made. "Wow, you made this all by yourself?" Rin asked. "Yes I did, I was just trying to make sure that my mango floats taste nice". Nezuko said.
Everyone ate nezuko's mango floats all up. "bro this is so delicious!!" Meguru smiley replied. "Ding Dong" Heard by the doorbell. "I'll go get it" chigiri risks. Chigiri went to get the door, as soon as she opened it light and scaramouche was standing outside. "Ah, hello my dear." Chigiri welcomed them. Light and scara went inside and sat in the living room. Chigiri went back into the kitchen and said to scara and light to wait. "So, Who was in the door?" Tanjiro asked. "It's scara and light. They decided to visit". Chigiri replied.
As Nezuko heard what chigiri said, Nezuko grabbed 1 bucket of graham in the fridge and went to the living room to give it to the dear visitors. "Welcome here, nice meeting you both again, do you want to grab some graham that I made this christmas eve?" Nezuko welcomedly said. Light and scaramouche both agreed to the give of Nezuko. Chigiri went also in the living room and whispered something to nezuko. "ah okay." Nezuko said. Scaramouche and Light was so confused. "Light?, chigiri is calling you on the front of the hallway and want to have a conversation with you". Light stands up and said "oh alright." Light went to the front hallway and saw chigiri waiting for her.
"You needed me me here?" Light asked "Yup I do, I just had something to tell you" chigiri says. As in the middle of the conversation chigiri took a deep breath. " Well Tanjiro said something to me.. he is officially accepting your confession this day." Chigiri calmy said. "Real poba????? BRO THIS MAKES ME FLATTEREDDDDDDDD hshshshsh" Light extremely said in an excited mood. Chigiri noods and lastly said "I congratulate you two" light also noods and not just a second she runs towards Tanjiro and hugs him. "Ah I see, nalaman mo na Po?" Tanjiro asked "Hmm! I did, your mine now." Light said. Tanjiro may not only have found his star for that Christmas eve.
Light was a very special gift to Tanjiro, that was the best Christmas of their lives that it may only ended in a happy ending. December 25, 2023 it was finally Christmas, all of the Yeinjiuken squad went to have a exchange gift and also a Christmas party. They all designed the Christmas tree happily. Scaramouche approved the realeontship of his son Tanjiro. Light also promised that he will do anything to make Tanjiro happy. This Christmas was amazing that many things happen for real.
Wishes of our wish came true that it didn't end on a bad ending. But the future is in our front, we don't still know if happy ever after really exists. Atleast Tanjiro has found the gift and the star of his. "Ilaw nang d1, Ikaw ang star nang pasko ko" Tanjiro lastly and finally said, the end .

Title: “The Unexpected”
So, how did the newly crowned King of Rowoon Kingdom wind up being roped into this situation? A hoe on his hand and a bag of seeds attached to his belt. Alver didn’t know, it was just one thing after another.
“Cookie-giving King, over here too!” The young black dragon waved his paw and signaled him to come over.
“Haaa,” Alver sighed. These bunch were truly the only ones within the entire Western and Eastern Continents who would treat the King of Rowoon this way. He complied anyway, not at all denying the pooling fondness at the sight of Raon floating around and relaying Cale’s instructions of where to hoe and sow the seeds.
When he looked up, sweat gathering around his now shiny forehead, it was to a sight of the sun rays brightly dancing over the entire field. Right now, they’re out helping others instead of waiting for the celebration of Christmas eve.
Chuckling at the thought, the newly crowned King quickly got back to work, swinging his hoe as taught and instructed by the rest of them earlier. It was a new experience to work on a field this way and he’d be lying if it wasn’t tough.
“I’m done with my part. Let me help here,” a voice came suddenly, finally breaking his concentration. Cale Henituse, the source of all Alver's recent troubles and blessings, in his simple clothes fit for their activity of choice this noon, healthy flush high on his cheeks thanks to the physical nature of farming as well as the sun high up on the sky, and a hand outstretched. “I'll do the planting, so Hyung can just focus on digging.”
“Isn't that the same as basically telling me to do the grunt work? I'll need to remind you that no one in their right minds would tell the King of the strongest Kingdom in the entire land to do this,” Alver protested.
All Cale did was shoot him a small, mischievous smile. “Let’s get back to work so we can be done soon, Hyung.”
“Your Majesty,” he corrected.
Cale let out a bright crackle of chuckles at the grumbling tone, “Yes, Your Majesty.”
Everywhere Alver led, Cale followed by sowing in the seeds and covering them back with the rest of the soil. His hands were bare, the dirt clinging and contrasting to the pale skin of his palms.
“Why aren’t you wearing any gloves? Your hands are getting dirty now.” Alver halted his movements, rummaging through his right pocket and throwing a pair of gloves at Cale who caught it readily, dusting off his hands and quickly putting the gloves on. “I left it back in the villa.” Alver didn’t need any more prompts to understand that the redhead was just too lazy to get it now.
They continued working on the field like that, a combination of very much not mutual efforts by two pairs of hands. The plant they were in the process of growing was a field of lavenders — which was good to repel flying pests away from their other vegetables and fruits.
“I see, so that’s why it’s located in the center,” he nodded, just before hoeing another spot on the ground. The sun was slowly sinking lower and lower onto the horizon, the skies bleeding into a shade of purple and an orange tinge.
“That’s right, Your Majesty. It would help the rest of the other fields’ maintenance that way.” Cale sighed. His hands moved quickly to scatter the seeds and replant the soil into a mound over them. The wind picked up its pace and blew over them, messing up Cale’s red ponytail significantly.
Alver hid an easy smile, biting it back down, “I’ll help you fix your hair, come here, we’re done anyway.”
He shed off the gloves on his own hand — filthy beyond no ends — and tucked it somewhere on his belt, a hand still holding the hoe. Cale obediently came closer, huffing lightly and peeling off his own gloves. “You know I can do it myself.”
“I know.” Upon inspecting that his hands were both visibly clean, Alver — in a set of familiar motions — gathered the stray red strands that escaped Cale’s ponytail, moving back to stand behind him and tidying them all up into a single neat ponytail once again. “I just like doing it.”
Right now though, Alver allowed himself to linger in front of the wooden shed, Cale right beside him. The redhead looked like he was puzzling out some words he wanted to say, hair neatly tucked in a single ponytail of Alver’s work earlier and vibrantly scarlet against the increasingly darkening blue sky.
“You know, recently, the kids have been—”
“Cale, I’m sorry for interrupting but can I ask you something?” It felt like his heart was going to leap out of his chest by how hard it thumped and protested against his rib cages.
“Yes, Your Majesty. What is it?” He calmly asked back.
He took a deep breathe and, “Will you ma–”
“Cale-nim! Your Majesty! Please come back now, let’s start celebrating!” Choi Han shouted.
“Alright, we’ll be back,” Cale turned back, “Hyung, what were you saying?”
“Nothing much, nevermind. Let’s talk next time,” He softly smiled.
If someone had told Cale Henituse, or rather, Kim Roksoo, that he would spend Christmas with children and a personification of a puppy, he would have called that person crazy. However, this year is different which led Cale to pursue the celebration.
They celebrate Christmas with a day of filled activities. An amidst the background noise of off-key caroling.
The day ends with a feast Beacrox had gone all out on. As predicted, delicious cake takes seconds, and thirds. He doesn’t miss the glint in the chef’s eye, though what it means, he has no clue. A threat, most likely, he concludes.
Cale pulls Choi Han aside as things start to wind down and pushes a neatly, but clearly rushed, wrapped box into his hands.
“Here,” Cale keeps his eyes on the ground, his shoes, the marble tiling. “Merry Christmas,” he says softly in Korean.
Choi Han looks at the box and then back at Cale, a hint of surprise in his eyes. "You got me a gift?"
Cale scratches the back of his head, a sheepish smile playing on his lips. "Well, yeah. I mean, it's Christmas, and you're... you know, my friend."
Choi Han's eyes soften, and he nods appreciatively. "Thank you, Cale-nim. I didn't expect this."
Cale shrugs, trying to play it off casually. "It's nothing special. Just open it."
As Choi Han unwraps the gift, Cale can't help but feel a bit nervous. He hadn't given many gifts in his life, especially not to someone he considered a friend. The box reveals a sturdy, well-crafted leather holster.
"I noticed your sword doesn't have a proper sheath, so I thought this might come in handy," Cale explains.
Choi Han looks genuinely touched. "Thank you, Cale-nim. This is thoughtful."
"Yeah, well, don't get too sentimental on me," Cale teases, trying to lighten the mood.
Choi Han chuckles, "I'll try not to. But seriously, thank you. It's perfect."
Cale nods, feeling a warmth in his chest that has nothing to do with the Christmas feast. He's not used to expressing his feelings, but moments like this make him realize the importance of the people around him.
As they head back to join the festivities, Cale can't help but glance at the others. Alver is engaged in a lively conversation with Hong and Ohn, and Raon is floating around, happily accepting headpats from anyone willing to give them. The sight brings a genuine smile to Cale's face.
Later, as the night settles in and the group gathers around a bonfire, exchanging stories and laughter, Cale takes a moment to reflect. He may not have expected this kind of life, surrounded by companions who genuinely care for each other, but he's grateful for it.
And as the night sky twinkles with stars above them, Cale is content, knowing that sometimes, the best presents are the ones you never expected to find.
While walking around in the middle of the night, he found Alver sitting near the river.
Alver's silhouette was illuminated by the soft glow of the moon, casting gentle ripples on the surface of the river. The air was cool, and the night held a quiet serenity. Cale approached without a word, not wanting to disturb the peaceful atmosphere.
"Couldn't sleep?" Cale asked, sitting down beside Alver.
Alver glanced at him, a faint smile playing on his lips. "I find solace in the quiet of the night. It helps clear my mind."
Cale nodded, appreciating the calm ambiance. They sat in companionable silence for a while, each lost in their own thoughts.
"You did well today," Cale finally spoke, breaking the silence. "With the farming and everything. I didn't expect to see the mighty King of Rowoon wielding a hoe."
Alver chuckled, "I didn't expect it either, but it was a nice change." Cale nodded, understanding the sentiment.
They both looked out at the moonlit river, contemplating the twists and turns of their lives. The weight of responsibilities, the unexpected friendships, and the challenges they faced together.
"It's strange," Alver began, "Thinking about where we started and where we are now. I never imagined I'd be a king, let alone have a group of people I care about so much."
Cale smirked. "Yeah, life has a funny way of surprising us. But you're doing well as a king. I have no doubt about that."
Alver gave him a grateful look. "Thanks, Cale. I appreciate your confidence."
"Sometimes," Cale mused, "I think the best moments are the unexpected ones. Like today, working on the fields with everyone. It's these moments that make everything worthwhile."
Alver nodded in agreement. "You're right. It's the simple joys that matter the most."
As they continued to sit by the river, "Oh, I forgot, what were you saying last time?" Cale asked.
Alver looked at Cale, momentarily caught off guard by the sudden change of topic. Then he recalled the interrupted question from earlier, the one he was about to ask before Choi Han called them back for the celebration.
"Oh, right," Alver said, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I was going to ask... Will you…" He hesitated for a moment, choosing his words carefully. "Will you stay?"
Cale turned to him, an inquisitive look in his eyes. "Stay? You mean, in Rowoon?"
Alver nodded, a mixture of hope and uncertainty in his gaze. "Yes. I mean, you've been here for a while now, but I... I want you to stay, not just physically, but... you know, with us. With me."
Cale studied Alver's face, searching for any signs of insincerity. But all he found was honesty, vulnerability even. The moment hung in the air, the river's soft murmur providing a soundtrack to their conversation.
"I never thought I'd find a place like this," Cale admitted, a soft smile playing on his lips. "A place where I feel like I belong. And you guys... you're like family."
Alver's eyes brightened, a hopeful smile spreading across his face. "So, you'll stay?"
Cale chuckled, the sound carrying a warmth that matched the glow of the moon. "Yeah, I'll stay. I wouldn't want to miss out on more moments like today."
Relief washed over Alver's features, and he extended a hand towards Cale. "To unexpected moments, then?"
Cale accepted the handshake, their clasped hands symbolizing a commitment beyond words. "To unexpected moments and whatever the future holds."
‘Tonight seems more peaceful, hm,’ He thought whilst walking back to the Villa to sleep.
